Canoe sprint takes place on a flatwater course. At international level the discipline is competed at four distances from 200m to 5000m. The Western Cape clubs meet twice a year to host a Triple Series Junior and under 23 sprint event. These events are always well attended by the rising stars of junior paddling. The WCCU also hosts an annual sprint event for all ages.
