Milnerton Canoe Club located on Milnerton Lagoon at the foot of the historic Wooden Bridge is the oldest canoe club in the Western Cape and is well-represented at all levels of paddling. The Milnerton lagoon also serves as a training platform for adventures in other places – be it to enjoy the calm flat waters of our country’s beautiful dams, lagoons and lakes, or to experience the adrenaline rush that our rivers bring. We offer club training sessions for the competitive, beginner and junior/guppy paddlers.Our facilities include club boats and paddles for use by members, a small gym with paddle ergo’s and weights. lockable boathouses, top-notch ablutions, a bar, and an enclosed braai room. Our time trials are held on Wednesday evenings at 6pm from March to September, after which food, drink and good company are available in abundance.
