The club is situated on Fishhoek Beach and was formed in 1973.  Initially this was a sailing club and it was very active in the Hobie sailing scene. With time the number of Hobie sailors has declined. We are now mainly a paddling club with 200 active members, mainly  surfskiing and  supping and a few sailing.

The club is the home to the Mocke Surfski School and the Taryn King sup school. The club has an actively growing junior section that has thrived during the school closures. The clubhouse is tucked in  just behind the sand dunes and has a large grassed recreational area protected from the wind. This is a popular family  venue and has hosted many happy birthdays, weddings and other parties over the years.
